Add Raag Finder to your device
This is the Raag Finder website itself, placed on your home screen or dock. There is no app store, nothing to download and nothing to update by hand — you get its own icon, a full screen, and a faster start.
Step-by-step for your device
- Open raagfinder.com in Chrome (or Samsung Internet).
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Tap "Install app" — or "Add to Home screen" if that is what you see.
- Confirm with "Install".
- Raag Finder now has its own icon in your app drawer and opens without the browser bar.
If you do not see the option, reload the page once and try again.
Good to know
If your connection drops. Once Practice is open, the first option — practise a raag and get a practice journal report — keeps working without internet: the tanpura, your Sa, recording, live swaras and the report all run on the device, and the session uploads by itself once you are back online. Opening the app from scratch still needs a connection for now.
Staying signed in. You stay signed in in the installed app until you sign out yourself, even with no connection.
Updates. Whenever you are online the app picks up the newest version in the background and switches to it at a safe moment — never in the middle of a recording.
Needs internet. Uploading takes, raag analysis, live streaming, credits, the forum and support chat all need a connection.
Remove the app from your device
Removing the app only deletes the shortcut and anything saved on that device. Your account, analyses and practice history stay on raagfinder.com — sign in again from a browser and everything is there.
Mac — installed from Chrome or Edge
- Open Raag Finder from its own icon.
- Click the three-dot menu at the top right of the app window.
- Choose "Uninstall Raag Finder", then click "Remove".
- Tick "Also delete data from Chrome" if you want the app to forget this device completely.
You can also drag the icon out of the Dock to remove just the shortcut.
